Ving’s journey began in 1956, but it was two years later that the charter division was named Vingresor, which later became Ving. Today, Ving is Sweden’s leading tour operator, offering destinations to 400 locations in around 60 countries. Ving provides charter trips, cruises, package holidays, and individual flight tickets, serving approximately 700,000 travelers per year.
Challenge & Need
For the 2014 holiday season, Ving saw an opportunity to improve its gift card business.
Despite the growing popularity of travel gift cards online, Ving needed a strategy to maximize sales and make the purchasing experience as smooth and accessible as possible for their customers. Additionally, they wanted to expand their presence to more markets and needed a solution that could support their international growth plans.
Our solution
Ving chose to collaborate with Awardit and use Awardit’s gift card system to improve their gift card business. By integrating Awardit’s system, Ving could offer their customers a simple and smooth online purchasing experience. They also leveraged Awardit’s expertise to create attractive offers and campaigns linked to the gift cards, which helped boost sales. Ving also aimed to expand their gift card business to more countries. With Awardit’s system, they could easily scale up their sales and manage gift card transactions across multiple markets.
